Services

Permicoat offers a wide variety of waterproofing & roofing services to our clients.

Whilst the final product that you see seems simple enough on the face of it, there are a plethora of technical skills that go into the surveying, application and after-care of a roofing & waterproofing project. Over the past 30 years, we've completed a wide set of roofing & waterproofing projects which has allowed Permicoat to build the services that you see today. The foundation of our physical roofing services come in the form of two systems; Liquid Applied & EPDM Rubber, both great systems with their own advantages. Behind all of that, you'll find the bulk of our services; Roof Condition Surveys, Specifications & Annual Maintenance.

Liquid Applied Roofing

A Liquid Applied roofing system is great for complex roof builds.

A liquid roofing system involves the application of a liquid-based coating onto a roof or suitable surface. Whilst we call this  system liquid, what forms or what we call cures is a rubber-like elastomeric membrane.  This rubber is cable of stretching without taking damage which makes it suitable for a variety of roofing & waterproofing projects. This system can actually be applied over most roofing materials such as felt, bitumen & concrete.

Our suppliers for liquid materials are Sika Liquid Plastics & Langley Waterproofing Systems who offer guarantees ranging from 10, 15, 20 or 25 years. One of the primary advantages of a liquid applied system is its versatility, with the product being a liquid, it allows us to apply it on surfaces, buildings & detail works that other systems simply can't, the Lancaster Chaplaincy Centre is a great example of it in use. EPDM Rubber Roofing

An EPDM Rubber roofing system is great for both flat & pitched roofs.

Rubber roofing or as it's called in the industry EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) roofing involves the application of a rubber-based membrane onto a flat roof or other such project either adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted. The seams of the roof that form between the stretches of material are seal with a liquid adhesive or specially formulated tape.

Our suppliers for the EPDM Rubber system are Flex-R roofing who offer guarantees ranging from 10, 15 or 20 years. One of the primary advantages of an EPDM system is that it's cost-effective in comparison to other systems. Our recent project at the Spinners Mill in Leigh is a great example of an EPDM system in use. To find more about EPDM rubber systems, click here.

Gutter-line Systems

A Plygene Gutter-line system is a bespoke choice for your gutter refurbishment.

For the application of a gutter-line system, Permicoat is proud to be able to work with Sharmans HD & their product, Plygene Gutter-line. Unlike other products on the market, It is specifically designed to repair and extend the lifespan of the gutter system with a 25 year guarantee.

This system is cost effective & a durable alternative to traditional guttering; providing a waterproofed lining to existing gutters, eradicating the need for expensive, time consuming and often disruptive structural work. To find out more about gutter-line systems, click here.

Roof Condition Surveys

Inspection & Analysis

Roof Condition Surveys form the base of what Permicoat does when deciding the best solution to your roofing & waterproofing issue. We use a variety of tools and techniques such as core sampling, thermal imaging surveys & electronic leak detection in order to obtain the current condition of your roof, structure or project. This information is passed onto our technicians who will analyse the data and create a specification. Click here to find out more about our roof condition surveys.

Specifications

Planning & Execution

The specification stage is about the planning and execution of a roofing or waterproofing project. With the data gathered from the condition survey, the technical team can now look at creating material specifications, 3D / CAD drawings & look into the design of a roof access system as needs be. Once this stage is complete, we move onto the project itself with either a liquid applied or EPDM rubber system for your waterproofing or roofing project. Click here to find out more about our specifications.

Annual Maintenance

Maintenance & After-Care

As part of either the liquid applied or EPDM rubber system, it's recommended that you get annual maintenance checks to check the integrity of the system. From time to time, issues like debris or extreme weather conditions may cause an issue that affects your roofing or waterproofing project - that's why Permicoat offers annual maintenance packages to our clients.
